I published a post last night that was still in draft form (hit “publish” rather than “save”). -Yes, this is what happens at 12 am when you have been sleep deprived all week. I took it down, and will re-post it when it’s finished. In the mean time… how about another musical interlude?
This is a collaboration between Zara H. Phillips and muscian and frequent activistDMC (yes, from the very awesome band Run-DMC)
Fabulous Tara! This last 2 years since starting my search and reunion, have been surreal for me. I was so isolated from both of the experiences I was afraid to allow myself to think or feel about. Now, since I opened those doors, I find there is a whole group of people who share my story and sing my song. As an Adoptee and/or a Birth Mother it often feels like you are the only one in the world. When you finally find others, it is an unbelievable feeling. . .and for some moments, when you are together or hear something that describes the feelings you are afraid to have, though difficult to confront the lonliness leaves for a while.
